Do you sometimes feel stuck, as though you’re not getting what you want out of life? Maybe you find yourself repeating patterns that you know aren’t helping anymore and yet you persist doing the same thing time after time. The struggles can lead to anxiety, depression or show themselves as anger or low self-esteem. You sense something needs to change, but you’re unsure where to start.

With the help of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) you have the ability to turn things around and get back on track. If you don’t know much about CBT, that’s okay! It helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours influence each other. We’ll identify those patterns that just aren’t serving you and introduce practical skills that will help you respond differently to challenges.

You’ll feel empowered to maintain the positive changes you’ve made. With the skills and understanding you’ve developed, you can approach each day with greater confidence, knowing you’re able to cope with whatever comes your way. Rather than feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you’ll feel more connected to yourself and others, and better able to live a life that feels fulfilling, meaningful, and hopeful.

About me

Firstly, I’m a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), my registered membership number is 417203.

I’ve sought counselling myself at different points in my life, and the positive experiences I had led me to pursue a career in counselling. I initially trained as a person-centred counsellor, working with trauma and survivors of sexual violence, and later trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), helping clients regain a sense of control and direction in their lives.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked in the homelessness sector for five years, supporting people facing complex and often overwhelming life circumstances. This experience deepened my understanding of how life events, trauma, and social pressures can affect mental health.

Outside of work, I enjoy trying new recipes, drinking good coffee, and the ongoing internal debate about whether I should be exercising
